The Kia Sedona is the most prominent of all nameplates used in the marketing of the Kia Carnival. It is now on its second generation, having been produced from the year 1998. It is classified as a minivan, with a 4-door minivan body style. The 2nd generation Sedona was introduced to the US market in 2005, at the Chicago Auto Show that took place in the same year. It was initially offered in just the long wheelbase form. The short wheelbase version was released in the form of the 2007 model year.
The 2011 Kia Sedona model year was updated and came equipped with the all-new Tiger Nose grill. New tail lights, a much more powerful engine, as well as an automatic 6-speed transmission system were the other updates given to the Sedona. However, because the short wheelbase variant did not meet sales standards, it was soon dropped by the company.
